Who buys this list
Frame and lens labs
Frame lines and lab services sell office by office. Most rows carry the practice name and phone, so a rep can open with a real office. Cut by state to hand each rep a territory.
Contact lens and dry eye product companies
Contact lens brands and dry eye product makers reach patients through the optometrist who fits or treats them. Each row is one named clinician with an NPI, so you can build the prescriber universe state by state.
OCT and retinal imaging vendors
Diagnostic imaging is a capital purchase made at the practice level. 27% of rows bill from more than one address, which flags the groups that buy for several offices. Practice name and phone are on most rows.
Practice acquirers and recruiters
Groups that buy practices or hire associates need the clinician and the office in a target market. City and state are on every row, and the practice name and phone are on most. The file lists 11,303 practice locations.
How many optometrists are in this file?
This file has 37,329 optometrists, every one enrolled in Medicare in the CMS file dated Aug 18, 2026, counted once each by NPI. Optometrists who don't bill Medicare are not in it. Every specialty side by side.
Other places to buy a optometrist list
Other sellers publish different counts, prices and terms. We compared 19 of them on Sep 29, 2026, including where they beat us: physician email list providers, compared. The prices we found are compared on what a physician email list costs.
Questions buyers ask
The roster is the CMS Doctors and Clinicians national file, the public Medicare dataset of enrolled clinicians. The version on this page is dated Aug 18, 2026. Optometrists sit under their own CMS specialty, OPTOMETRY, and that specialty is what this file holds. We add the email column on top of it and verify each address. Nothing is copied from a directory that resells the same rows to every buyer.
Yes. Each row is one optometrist with their own NPI. Name, NPI, city, state and ZIP are on every row. Most rows also carry the practice name, street address, phone and credential. The email column holds that clinician's work address where we found and verified one. A generic office inbox does not count as a find.
No. This file's email column is built after you order and reaches you within a day at no extra cost, and only addresses that pass an SMTP check go in. Expect a minority of rows to get one: in our first test run, 55 of 400 cardiologists got a verified email (Sep 10, 2026). Every row keeps the name, NPI, city, state and ZIP. Most rows also carry a street address and a practice phone.
No. This file is optometrists, who hold the OD degree, enrolled in Medicare. Ophthalmologists, who hold MD and DO degrees, are a separate file on this site. Opticians are not in it. An optometrist who never enrolled in Medicare is missing too, so the file is not a census of everyone licensed to practice. State is on every row, so you can cut it to a territory.
If more than five percent of the verified emails hard bounce on your first send, reply to your receipt with the bounce report and we refund the $295. Only addresses that pass an SMTP check go into the email column.
Under US law, yes. CAN-SPAM allows commercial email, business-to-business included, without prior opt-in, as long as you tell the truth about who is sending, include a physical address, and honor unsubscribe requests within ten business days. HIPAA covers patient health information and does not reach provider directory data like this file. If you send outside the US, the local rules are yours to check.
