BookYourData, LeadsPlease and ReachStream show a price, email counts, a free sample and specialty counts before you pay. LakeB2B, MedicoReach and most specialist list houses print large counts but sell by quote. We are one of the 20 sellers compared here and rank ourselves number 6: we show a price, the federal count and a free sample, but no email column until you order.
We make Doctor Email List, one of the 20 sellers on this page. Here's how we compared: we read each seller's own pages on Sep 29, 2026 and recorded what they publish (price, counts, samples, terms and where the data comes from), then checked their cardiologist counts against the federal CMS file. We did not buy their lists, so we can't tell you how accurate their emails are. We ranked ourselves by the same rule, at number 6. 4 of the 6 sellers that label a cardiologist count as US print more than both the 29,847 Medicare-enrolled cardiologists in the CMS file and the AAMC's 32,148. In our own first test run, on Sep 10, 2026, 55 of 400 cardiologists got a verified email.

How their counts compare with the federal file
The CMS file dated Aug 18, 2026 lists 29,847 cardiologists enrolled in Medicare, one per NPI, and the AAMC counted 32,148 active physicians in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology in 2024. 6 sellers label a cardiologist count as US. 4 of them print a US count above both of those, so ask what one row is before you pay: a physician, a contact at a practice, or an address.

The sellers, ranked
We ranked on what you can check before you pay, sorted in this order: a price on the seller's own site, an email count for the list, a free sample or trial, counts for each specialty, and a guarantee that says what you get back. Any seller with a price outranks every seller without one; between two sellers that both show a price, the email count decides, and so on down the list. Ties are alphabetical. We rank ourselves by the same rule: we show a price, specialty counts, a free sample and a refund if more than 5% of verified emails hard-bounce on your first send within 30 days, but no email count, because our email column is built after you order.

Sells a one-time package for each specialty with the price and record count side by side, gives 10 free leads on signup, and backs lists with a 97% deliverability guarantee paid back in credits. Records carry company fields and direct dials.
Its US cardiology package ($599 for 13,704 US records) holds fewer records than the 29,847 cardiologists enrolled in Medicare. It describes its sources as public data, niche providers, contributors and an in-house team, with no registry named.
2. LeadsPlease

Sells leads online in batches, prints counts for each specialty split into mail leads and email addresses, and gives 25 free leads to start. It can also print and mail a direct mail campaign for you.
Its physician page contradicts itself: $299.75 for 500 email leads in one place and "start at $250.00 for 500 Leads" in another, 98% accuracy in one place and 80+% for email addresses in another. The cardiology page was last updated June 9, 2025 and asks you to call or contact it for pricing.
3. ReachStream

A self-serve B2B database: pick a plan, filter physicians, and export. Plans run from free (100 export credits a month) to $99 a month, emails are checked by a built-in verifier before download, and monthly plans cancel anytime.
Credits don't roll over, its terms make fees non-refundable except where the law requires, and its accuracy guarantee names no remedy. Some counts are global: its cardiologist page says "29K+ Verified Cardiologists Contacts Worldwide".

A general B2B database with a ready-made US physician list sold once, subscriptions from $74 a month billed yearly ($99 month to month), and email verification at the moment you export.
Its physician list is picked by job title (the title contains "physician" or "doctor"). We found no specialty lists on its pages; ask whether a title search returns cardiologists.

Sells fixed packs of leads you download at once, with a refund of the difference if more than 5% bounce. Its cardiologist packs run from $340 for 1,250 leads to $850 for 5,000.
The cardiologist page says the list covers doctors "from across the globe", so ask how many are in the US.
6. Doctor Email List (ours)

One CSV per specialty, built from the CMS Doctors and Clinicians file, with each specialty's count on its page and 100 real rows free before you pay. Every row carries an NPI, so you can check any of them against the federal registry.
The weak spot is email. No specialty file has its email column built yet: it is built for your file within a day of the order, and only addresses that pass an SMTP check go in. In our first test run, on Sep 10, 2026, 55 of 400 cardiologists got a verified email (37 of 200 at the largest group practices and 18 of 200 at mid-size and small practices). Of the rest, 112 had no practice website we could find, 126 used an address pattern we couldn't confirm, 88 sat on mail servers that accept every address (we leave those out) and 19 failed the mailbox check.
Coverage stops at Medicare: a physician who bills no Medicare patients isn't in the file, and we sell no nurse, dentist or international lists.
7. CarePrecise

Sells whole-country provider databases, with sample data to download; we found no specialty lists on its pages. The physician database covers Medicare and non-Medicare physicians with group and hospital affiliations. Email addresses are a separate purchase, priced per address from $0.79 down to $0.05 at volume, with a $90 processing fee on typical orders.
Emails come with no free sample: its email page prices a 100-address evaluation at $100 in one place and at $150 ($200 with an NPI list) in another.
8. Avention Media

Sells by quote as a one-time purchase you keep, with a free unmasked sample and 1-to-1 replacement credits if more than 2% of emails hard-bounce. It says it checks physicians against NPI taxonomy codes and state licensing boards, and offers personal as well as work emails on request.
The headline count isn't all physicians: the page's own breakdown of the 1,110,000 includes practice and hospital administrators.

Sells by quote, returns counts and a price for your segment, and sends 5 to 10 unredacted sample records. It replaces records if more than 5% hard-bounce within 60 days, and says it checks each NPI against the CMS NPPES registry.
Specialty pages print worldwide counts, such as 485,000+ anesthesiologists, more than ten times the AAMC's 43,499 US count; ask for the US count of your segment.
10. InfoGlobalData

Sells pre-built and custom lists by quote, delivered in 24 to 72 hours, refreshed every 30 to 45 days, with a free sample and replacement of hard-bounced records promised on its product pages.
Its terms of use say "all sales are final and non-refundable" and data is sold "as is", while its product pages promise to replace hard bounces; get the replacement terms in writing.
11. Medicoleads

DataCaptive's sister brand: its footer reads "Powered by DataCaptive" and it lists the same Santa Clara address. It sells by quote with no fixed minimum, carries NPI, DEA and license fields on qualifying records, and can filter by the practice's EHR platform.
A note on its dermatology page says the sample was last updated on July 8, 2021.

Sells credit plans billed monthly, quarterly or yearly, and custom lists by quote. It re-validates records at least every 45 days and holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certificates.
Its own data-sources page says the 95% accuracy figure "should be read as a benchmark for the fields being supplied", and the pricing page lists credit volumes with no dollar amounts.
13. LakeB2B

Builds custom lists by quote, with annual, credit-based, success-based and one-off pricing models. Each of the four specialty pages we read prints a national count, an email count and an update date, and it offers 25 free sample contacts, API delivery and data for 70+ countries.
The counts disagree with each other: the dermatology page's header says 560,000 US dermatologists while its text says over 27,000 globally, and the CMS file lists 13,599 enrolled in Medicare. We found no refund or replacement terms.

Sells by quote, paid in advance by wire or cheque, on a 90-day refresh cycle. Its specialty pages print a count with an update date, and it also sells nurse, dentist and pharmacist lists.
Two cardiologist counts appear on its pages, 17,817+ on the cardiologist page and 19,958 in the table on its physician page, and we found no guarantee terms.
15. MedStream Data

16. Healthlink Dimensions

Licenses physician email data for internal use or sends campaigns for you, with prescribing history and health plan fields, and a free list of 100 providers with emails that you keep. It says 11 of the 15 largest pharmaceutical companies are clients.
The terms call the data licensed and grant a temporary license, so your rights end when the term does. We found no price or specialty pages.
17. Ampliz

20. MMS (Medical Marketing Service)

An authorized AMA database licensee that rents physician names for one-time use and sends email campaigns through its own Med-E-Mail network. The AMA data covers members and non-members, residents and international graduates, with board certification and prescribing selections.
Orders are rentals: each is for one use within 90 days, and licensed email data is available only in approved cases. We found no price for its lists; the only rates we found were the AMA's royalty fees.
Where the other sellers beat us
Other sellers do at least five things we don't; each is linked to the page that shows it.
- Emails you can see before paying. LakeB2B prints 1,037,178 US physician emails with an update date, BookYourData and LeadsPlease give free leads, and UpLead verifies each email as you export. Our email column doesn't exist until you order. (LakeB2B, UpLead)

How we compared them
We read each seller's physician page, its pages for cardiologists, orthopedic surgeons, dermatologists and anesthesiologists, and its pricing, terms and about pages on September 29, 2026, and recorded prices, counts, samples, guarantees and named sources word for word. Each fact links to the page it came from.
We did not buy any list, request samples or talk to sales teams, so this page compares what sellers publish. It can't measure how accurate their data is. Where a seller's pages contradict each other, we say so.
Counts are compared with the CMS Doctors and Clinicians file dated August 18, 2026, which lists clinicians enrolled in Medicare, and with the AAMC's 2024 count of active physicians.

Questions buyers ask
It depends on what you need to see before paying. BookYourData, LeadsPlease and ReachStream show a price, an email count, specialty counts and a free sample. LakeB2B and MedicoReach print dated counts and DataCaptive undated ones, but all three sell by quote. We rank ourselves number 6 because our email column is built after you order.
Not in one place. CMS publishes Medicare-enrolled clinicians' practice addresses and phones for free, without marketing emails. Sellers give small free samples: BookYourData 10 leads, LeadsPlease 25, Healthlink Dimensions 100 providers with emails, and our 100-row sample per specialty, which has no email column yet.
Per record, Datazapp (not ranked here) charged $0.04 a record with email and LeadsPlease $299.75 for 500 email leads. Whole-country lists ran from $5,999 for 612,824 US doctor records at BookYourData to $6,999 for 112,656 US physician contacts at UpLead, and BizProspex's smallest cardiologist pack was $340 for 1,250 leads. Ours is $295 per specialty. The cost guide puts the published prices side by side.
In the US, yes, if every email follows CAN-SPAM: accurate headers and subject lines, a clear notice that it's an ad, your postal address, and a working opt-out honored within 10 business days. Specialty societies add their own rules when you rent their lists.
Because a row means different things. The CMS file counts Medicare-enrolled clinicians once each by NPI. Sellers count contacts, some mix US and worldwide totals, and some disagree with themselves: LakeB2B's dermatology page gives both 560,000 and over 27,000.
