Who buys this list

Primary care recruiters

Health systems and locum agencies fill family medicine seats one named physician at a time. Medical school graduation year, where CMS lists it, is a rough proxy for career stage and says nothing about who wants to move. The median graduation year for this list is 2006.

Practice software, billing and scheduling vendors

Independent family practices buy software from the physician owner. Practice name and organization size, where CMS lists them, help you separate solo offices from groups. 43% of rows list more than one practice location.

Vaccine and primary care pharma teams

Family physicians vaccinate children and adults in the same office. NPI on every row lets you match the file to your own prescriber data before anything is sent. The five states with the most rows are California, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois.

Point of care testing and office supply distributors

Rapid tests and in office procedure supplies are bought by the practice. A field rep gets the street address and phone on most rows and can visit the same offices the email reaches.

How many family physicians are in this file?

This file has 98,041 family physicians, every one enrolled in Medicare in the CMS file dated Aug 18, 2026, counted once each by NPI. Family physicians who don't bill Medicare are not in it. Every specialty side by side.

Other places to buy a family physician list

Other sellers publish different counts, prices and terms. We compared 19 of them on Sep 29, 2026, including where they beat us: physician email list providers, compared. The prices we found are compared on what a physician email list costs.

Questions buyers ask

Is this scraped from a directory?

No. The roster is the CMS Doctors and Clinicians national file, a public dataset of Medicare-enrolled clinicians. It is dated Aug 18, 2026. This family practice email list keeps the rows whose primary specialty in CMS is family practice. We build the email column on top and verify the addresses. Directories resell aging rows to every buyer, and a public file plus our own verification avoids that.

Is a row the physician or the front desk?

One named family physician with their own NPI. Name, NPI, city, state and ZIP are on every row. The practice name, street address, phone and credential are on most rows. The secondary specialty column shows a second enrollment where CMS lists one. The email column holds the physician's own address at the practice domain where we found and verified one. A front desk inbox does not count as a find.

Does every family physician have an email?

No. This file's email column is built after you order and reaches you within a day at no extra cost, and only addresses that pass an SMTP check go in. Expect a minority of rows to get one: in our first test run, 55 of 400 cardiologists got a verified email (Sep 10, 2026). Every row keeps the practice city, state and ZIP. Most rows also carry a street address and a practice phone.

Does this include general practitioners?

No. CMS lists general practice as its own specialty, so this file leaves it out. Geriatric medicine and hospitalist are separate CMS specialties and are not in the file either. Internal medicine physicians are a separate file on this site, and so are pediatricians. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants enroll under their own CMS specialties and are not in this file. CMS has no single primary care specialty, so a primary care physician email list from this data takes more than one file. Physicians who never enrolled in Medicare are missing. The secondary specialty column shows a second enrollment where CMS lists one.

What is the refund policy?

If more than five percent of the verified emails hard bounce on your first send, reply to your receipt with the bounce report and we refund the $295. Only addresses that pass an SMTP check go in the email column. You pay once, so there is no subscription to unwind.

Do I need consent before emailing a family physician?

Not under US law. CAN-SPAM allows commercial email to businesses without prior opt-in, as long as the sender identity is truthful, the message carries a physical address and unsubscribe requests are honored within ten business days. HIPAA is a patient privacy law and does not reach provider directory data. Your own jurisdiction may be stricter, and that call is yours.
